Following are the general checklist for website optimization : · Make a site with a clear hierarchy and text links. Every page should be reachable from at least one static text link. · If fancy features such as JavaScript, cookies, session IDs, frames, DHTML, or Flash keep you from seeing your entire site in a text browser, then search engine spiders may have trouble crawling your site . So try to avoid these features. · Shorten the title to 60 characters. · Include robots Meta tag. · Include Meta description and Meta keywords. · Think about the words users would type to find your pages, and make sure that your site actually includes those words within it. · Move the Javascript code to an external file. · Use CSS instead of colour, size and font tags. This would help in increasing Code to Text ratio. · Change the link buttons or Javascript links in to text links. · Offer a site map to your users with links that point to the important parts of your site. If the site map is larger than 1
